One Year of Self Love
Share
One year ago this May, I took a leap of IMANI — faith — and launched the Self Love Collection. It was more than a jewelry line. It was a declaration: I am worthy of love, space, expression, and so much more. And over the past year, I’ve been reminded that self love isn’t a destination. It’s a practice.
Through conversations with friends, kindred spirits at festivals, and online exchanges, I’ve learned that self love takes many forms:
It’s accepting help, even when you’re used to doing it all yourself. It’s giving yourself permission to be imperfect — without guilt or shame. It’s asking “What do I need right now?” — and being brave enough to listen, even when the answer feels inconvenient. Allllll of that is self love.
After the rollercoaster of June, I chose rest in July. And in that stillness, I found both grounding and flow.
I remembered that resting is doing something. That quiet is also creation.
That space is a portal.
Now we’re in August — a powerful month for reset and renewal. August feels like a universal deep breath. A moment to check in, tune in, and re-align with what truly matters.
It’s a time to reboot our energy, refill our creative wells, and reimagine what’s possible.
Whether you're an artist, an entrepreneur, a healer, or simply someone trying to move through the world with intention — this season invites you to start again.
Not from scratch, but from wisdom.
Not in hustle, but in harmony.
Not with pressure, but with purpose.
As I begin sketching, dreaming, and building again, I feel excited. Not rushed, not overwhelmed — but excited. The Self Love Collection is growing — not just with new designs and re-designs, but with deeper storytelling, intentional writings, and offerings that honor the why behind the work.
If you’ve been part of this journey — thank you. 💛
If you’re new — welcome. There is room for you here.
Let this August be your energetic reboot.
Your reminder that flow is always waiting to return.
Your invitation to love yourself forward — one choice, one breath, one adornment at a time.
With love and IMANI,
Nia
